Sohnjay Reeve

Sohnjay Reeve joined JAMaROO Kids in 2019 as a part-time teacher and moved into a full-time teaching role when he graduated in 2020 from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in Music. Before working with JAMaROO Kids Sohnjay worked at the Children’s Creativity Museum for two years in San Francisco.

Sohnjay has always had a love of music and movement and has been playing the French horn for 8 years and also plays the ukulele. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to rehearse and play with several community orchestras.

In his free time, you can find Sohnjay hosting a game night and dancing with friends.

When Sohnjay was asked what he loves about teaching for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, he said, “I feel fortunate to be able to spread joy to so many kids across the Bay. Each hour seems like a new adventure! It’s extremely rewarding watching the children progress and grow to have a music appreciation”.

Sohnjay’s favorite things are Rummikub, Battleship, and Go-Fish, just to name a few.

Fun Sohnjay facts: Sohnjay is notoriously known for dognapping his grandma’s dog and going on remarkable adventures around the Bay Area.

Favorite Animal: Otter.

Favorite Color: Sky Blue.

Favorite Food: Thai Food.
